How do I get recommended by ChatGPT?
For provider questions, ChatGPT with web search first looks for lists and directories, then reads the websites of the companies it found and writes the recommendation from them. Three things decide: whether you appear in the sources it reads (in our study, 58% of mentions do not come from the named company's own website, but from third-party sources or from the models' memory); whether your website says clearly in its opening paragraphs what you do, for whom and from what price, because those are the sentences it lifts; and whether reviews, links and listings sit above the thresholds at which models treat a company as established. We work on all three and measure monthly whether it is working.
What criteria does ChatGPT use to decide which companies it names?
From our 1,515 analysed answers: first, the source landscape. Companies that appear on the list pages the model retrieves are named far more often than any others. Second, how readable your own website is: concrete services, prices, location, formats. Third, thresholds: the probability of being named rises up to around 30 Google reviews and around 99 referring domains, then flattens; the rating itself barely separates named from unnamed companies. Depending on the industry, a quarter to over two thirds of mentions come straight from the company's own website. Which levers work first in your case, we read from your industry.
How fast can a new website appear in AI answers?
With assistants that use web search, within weeks rather than months. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity read a page when they retrieve it and judge it by content, not by domain age: as soon as the page is indexed and says concretely in its opening paragraphs what you do, for whom and from what price, it can be cited. In Google, the same page usually takes months to rank for competitive terms. Mentions from the models' memory, which arise without a search, take longer and need third-party mentions.
What does AI visibility cost for an SME?
With us it is included from the Base package at CHF 900 per month, including monitoring with a compact prompt set. The Growth package from CHF 1,500 per month adds the extended prompt set, the competitive benchmark and the GEO work in third-party sources. A one-off measurement of where you stand today is free with the AI visibility check.
Can we run AI visibility ourselves, with you as a coach?
Yes, in the done-with-you model. We deliver strategy, prompt set, reporting and playbooks and train your team in workshops; your team implements, we review drafts and are available in a fixed sparring rhythm. It suits marketing teams of roughly two to three people or more who already publish content themselves and have access to the website and CMS. The goal is that your team runs the measurement and the ongoing work on its own after a few months. Everything we set up belongs to you.
Can you measure how many visitors and enquiries come from ChatGPT?
Partly. Clicks from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude arrive with a referrer and can be shown in Google Analytics 4 as a separate "AI assistant" channel; we set that up, including enquiries as a conversion. What you do not see: users who type the name from the answer, and recommendations without a click. That is why we add the prompt set and a "How did you find us?" field on the contact form to the analytics figure.
What does SEO cost in Switzerland?
With us, ongoing work starts at CHF 900 per month — including 1–2 content pieces, technical optimisation, reporting, AI visibility monitoring and two meetings. The growth package with up to four pieces per week starts at CHF 1,500 per month. Established Swiss agencies start at around CHF 2,400 per month according to their public pricing pages, usually without content and without AI visibility.
How do you measure success?
By enquiries, closed deals and cost per lead — not by clicks or impressions. We still track rankings, traffic and AI mentions because they explain where enquiries come from; what decides is what is profitable in the end. That is why we prioritise topics by purchase intent rather than search volume, and stop work that brings visibility but no customers.
What's the difference between SEO, GEO and AEO?
SEO optimises for ranking in Google's list of results. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) optimises for being cited in AI-generated answers. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) targets answering a specific question directly. The fundamentals overlap — crawlability, good content, authority — but AI answers compress the market to a handful of names and reward direct, structured, citable information far more strongly.
How do you measure AI visibility?
Through a custom-built prompt set rather than keywords. We repeatedly ask ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity and Gemini the questions your customers actually ask, and record whether you're named and which sources get cited. Repeated sampling is necessary because AI answers fluctuate — a single measurement says very little.
How long does SEO take to work?
SEO is infrastructure, not a switch: first movement often shows within a few months, with full impact building over quarters. AI visibility can react faster but is more volatile. In both cases the advantage is durable — unlike paid ads, organic visibility doesn't disappear the moment the budget ends.
Does the AI write all the content itself?
No. We use automation for research, drafting and updates, but every piece goes through human review and approval before it goes live. That's exactly why we can deliver up to four pieces per week without giving up accuracy, brand voice or factual correctness — human sign-off is non-negotiable.
Why are you cheaper than other agencies?
Because we've automated research, drafting, internal linking and monitoring through systems we built ourselves — we're an AI agency that does SEO, not an SEO agency buying AI tools. The effort per piece is lower while review stays human. We pass that efficiency on rather than keeping it as margin.
Do you buy backlinks for us?
No. Google explicitly lists exchanging money for links that pass ranking credit as link spam, and SpamBrain neutralises such references on both sides. We build authority through linkable assets and personal outreach. If a paid placement makes sense for reach or brand reasons, we'll run it and label it correctly with rel="sponsored" — at which point it's advertising and gets treated as such.
Is link building included in the packages?
The fundamentals are: backlink and competitor analysis plus collecting reachable sources run from the Growth tier onward. Systematic outreach and building linkable assets belong to the Worry-free package, because they involve production and relationship work that can't be flat-rated. External placement fees are never billed through the retainer.
Does this work for local visibility in Switzerland?
Yes. We align architecture and content with your market's search intent — whether regional in Zurich or across Switzerland. Technical SEO, local signals like local.ch and search.ch and a clear topic structure make you visible for the queries your customers in Switzerland actually search for.
